Example Speeds: Use 2A for slow/storage charging, 4A-6A for fast charging, and 8A-10A for ultra-fast charging. The DATE Bx5 34Ah MAMMOTH battery charges in only ~4 hours at 10A, compared to ~18 hours at 2A. (For extreme speed, the DATE BCx4 1200W cuts this to ~2.5 hours.)

Cell Balancing (Health)

Charge your battery to 100% at 2A (slowest speed) at least once per week to allow the BMS to perfectly balance all cells.

Extend Lifecycles (Longevity)

For daily use, charging to 90% or 80% instead of 100% can effectively double the total number of cycles you get from your battery.

Winter Storage (Protection)

Set the charger to 80% for non-use periods. Schedule a 30-minute charge weekly to prevent deep discharge and protect the battery.

Connector Current Limit

The RCA and standard 3-pin plugs are safely limited to 8A for continuous charging. You may push 10A for 10 minutes max. For stable, continuous 10A charging, you must use the heavy-duty XT90S plug.

Max Charging Speed (Simple Rule)

For best long-term health, the max charging current (Amps) should be less than half of your battery's capacity (Amp-hours). (e.g., A 16Ah battery should be charged at 8A or less.)
